#Tlalnepantla<\/strong>,\u00a0#StateOfMexico<\/strong>.-\u00a0The municipality of Tlalnepantla served as the venue for the launch of the digital violence prevention campaign, aptly named \u00abEn Redes, No Te Enredes\u00bb<\/strong> (Don\u2019t Get Tangled in Nets). This initiative is a crucial undertaking<\/strong> by the Government of the State of Mexico (Edomex), championed by the state’s Secretariat for Women, with the chief aim of safeguarding the integrity<\/strong> of residents in cyberspace. The official event, held at the Teatro Centenario, firmly underscored the government’s commitment to building secure digital environments<\/strong> for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Governor of the State of Mexico<\/strong>, Maestra Delfina G\u00f3mez \u00c1lvarez<\/strong>, highlighted that the campaign constitutes an \u00abintegral strategy of prevention, attention, and denunciation\u00bb<\/strong>, supported by the valuable involvement of digital protection experts and activists. Addressing the Tlalnepantla student community, the Governor cited INEGI data indicating that over 83 per cent<\/strong> of the population aged six and over utilises the internet. She detailed that youths aged 12 to 17 spend an average of more than four hours daily<\/strong> engaging with a screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this ambitious campaign, the head of the state executive confirmed that various actions are being rolled out across media, social networks, and educational centres. These activities are designed to circulate a practical guide for the prevention and detection of violence<\/strong> within school settings. Furthermore, workshops and conferences are being organised to generate awareness<\/strong> and protect citizens from the inherent risks present in virtual environments, positioning prevention<\/strong> as a fundamental cornerstone of the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Municipal President<\/strong>, Raciel P\u00e9rez Cruz<\/strong>, stressed the importance of the state government\u2019s campaign in promoting the responsible and safe use<\/strong> of the internet, whilst also driving the prevention of digital violence. The Mayor expressed regret that social networks have become platforms where new forms of aggression proliferate, such as cyberbullying, extortion, or identity theft<\/strong>, which he noted \u00abcan have devastating effects<\/strong>, especially on adolescents\u00bb. His remarks reinforced the local commitment to the state\u2019s digital safety agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary for Women of the State of Mexico<\/strong>, M\u00f3nica Ch\u00e1vez Dur\u00e1n<\/strong>, condemned online aggressions that undermine dignity, emotional health, and school coexistence, reiterating the institutional pledge. She affirmed that, with the backing of the Federal Government, the campaign operates under an unyielding principle: \u00abzero tolerance to violence in public, school, and digital spaces against children, adolescents, and women in Edomex\u00bb<\/strong>.
