#Tlalnepantla<\/strong>,\u00a0#StateOfMexico<\/strong>.- The global observance of World Breast Cancer Day<\/strong> serves as a crucial reminder of the need for both prevention and self-examination. This is particularly pertinent in Mexico, where breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among women. Reflecting on this alarming statistic, the local government in Tlalnepantla has affirmed its steadfast commitment to ensuring that \u00abno woman is alone\u00bb<\/strong> in the face of this widespread public health challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the ‘Elvia Carrillo Puerto’<\/strong> Empowerment Centre, located in the Valle de las Pir\u00e1mides district, Mayor Raciel P\u00e9rez Cruz<\/strong> officially launched the \u00abMacro Jornada Semana Rosa 2025\u00bb<\/strong> (‘Pink Week Macro-Campaign 2025’<\/strong>). Organised in collaboration with DIF Tlalnepantla, the initiative offered free health services, including mammograms<\/strong> and comprehensive advice for women across the municipality. The Mayor, alongside the Honorary President of DIF Tlalnepantla, Roc\u00edo P\u00e9rez Cruz<\/strong>, stressed that \u00abprevention saves lives, cancer detected in time is treatable and curable\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mayor further acknowledged the common obstacles to early detection, noting that women often miss the window for timely diagnosis \u00abbecause of fear, sometimes also due to misinformation<\/strong> or because they don’t have the economic resources<\/strong>\u00ab. In response, he asserted that the Tlalnepantla government is redoubling its efforts to directly influence the stage of timely detection<\/strong> to save the greatest possible number of lives. He also paid tribute to the residents who participated, recognising that those who suffer from this illness \u00abface a difficult personal situation<\/strong> for themselves and their families\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director-General of the Municipal DIF System, Luis Trejo Molina<\/strong>, confirmed the campaign’s central motto: \u00abTake care of your health, know your body\u00bb<\/strong>, to tackle a major health issue at a municipal, national, and global level. Medical Deputy Director of DIF Tlalnepantla, Laura Levario Jaramillo<\/strong>, emphasised the gravity of the disease, stating, \u00abWe are united for a cause that reminds us that women’s health must not depend on luck<\/strong>, but on access to medical services<\/strong> and the information and networks we weave among ourselves.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
