#Cuautitl\u00e1nIzcalli<\/strong>,\u00a0#StateOfMexico<\/strong>.-\u00a0Mayor Daniel Serrano<\/strong> has officially launched the comprehensive rehabilitation works<\/strong> for the La Quebrada Central Park<\/strong>, honouring a significant and long-standing community demand. This vital project, which was repeatedly promised and subsequently neglected by previous administrations, is scheduled for completion this year<\/strong>, ensuring direct benefit for all residents. The Mayor confirmed that the scope of work was reached through consensus with local residents<\/strong> following an inspection to determine the most pressing needs<\/strong>, thereby restoring dignity to this formerly abandoned landmark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Detailing the planned improvements, which will encompass an area of 5,250 square metres<\/strong>, Daniel Serrano<\/strong> announced the establishment of diverse, high-quality sports and recreational facilities. The comprehensive project includes the construction of new sports courts<\/strong>, a running track<\/strong>, an outdoor gym, and a designated palapas and social area<\/strong>. Additionally, spectator stands<\/strong> will be installed to allow residents to comfortably enjoy events, actively promoting both family integration and local sport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Head of Urban Development and Public Works, Ver\u00f3nica Italia Montero<\/strong>, elaborated that the rehabilitation scheme encompasses the creation of new recreational spaces<\/strong> specifically designed for senior citizens<\/strong> and dedicated leisure areas for children. Further works involve the landscaping of flowerbeds<\/strong> and footpaths, the ecological restoration of all existing flora<\/strong> in the area, and a significant upgrade to the running track for local athletes. These collective efforts aim to revitalise the area as a genuine social lung<\/strong> for the entire neighbourhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the project’s commencement ceremony, which was also attended by First Councillor Luis Fernando Ugalde<\/strong> and Director of Participatory Democracy Luis Fernando V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, Mayor Daniel Serrano<\/strong> issued a direct appeal to the community. He earnestly requested that, upon completion of the park, La Quebrada’s residents should actively help to preserve the site and, above all, \u00abappropriate it<\/strong>\u00ab. This crucial sense of public ownership is deemed essential by the administration to ensure the long-term upkeep of the community space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the Mayor emphasised unequivocally that the park is intended solely for the \u00abenjoyment of the populace<\/strong>\u00bb and that his administration will not tolerate any misuse of the site by external entities. Daniel Serrano<\/strong> firmly stated that \u00abwe shall not permit any space to be used by organisations that displace the citizens of our municipality\u00bb<\/strong>.
