These <strong>pioneering developments<\/strong> represent <strong>significant scientific advances<\/strong> with the potential to <strong>dramatically enhance the quality of life<\/strong> for <strong>hundreds of thousands of individuals living with disabilities and chronic health conditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Institute\u2019s portfolio of patented innovations<\/strong> is <strong>comprehensive<\/strong>, offering <strong>new solutions for rehabilitation, diagnosis, and therapeutic care<\/strong>. The granted patents include a <strong>non-invasive motor neuroprosthesis for hand rehabilitation<\/strong>, a <strong>system and method for detecting speed-dependent motor alteration during active movement<\/strong>, and a <strong>non-invasive functional electrical stimulator for neuromuscular rehabilitation<\/strong>. These <strong>accessible, non-invasive technologies<\/strong> have been <strong>specifically designed for direct and practical application within clinical environments<\/strong>, promising <strong>more effective patient outcomes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Alberto P\u00e9rez Sanpablo<\/strong>, an <strong>INRLGII researcher<\/strong> and the <strong>inventor of the motor alteration detection system<\/strong>, powerfully articulated the <strong>impact of this achievement<\/strong>. He stated, <strong>\u201cMore than a personal accomplishment, a patent represents the real possibility of improving lives, of closing gaps in rehabilitation, and of Mexican science transforming the care of people with disabilities.\u201d<\/strong> The specialist emphasised that <strong>his particular development could benefit over a million people in Mexico with neurological conditions linked to spasticity<\/strong>, by allowing <strong>precise, real-time evaluation that traditional methods cannot provide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Carlos Pineda Villase\u00f1or<\/strong>, the <strong>Director-General of the INRLGII<\/strong>, underscored that this <strong>robust effort is a key component of a national strategy<\/strong> to <strong>bolster technological development<\/strong> and <strong>reduce reliance on expensive imported technologies<\/strong>. <strong>Dr Pineda Villase\u00f1or<\/strong> concluded by highlighting the <strong>broader significance<\/strong>: <strong>\u201cThese patents are not just inventions; they are technological capabilities that remain in Mexico, within its health system and its public institutions.
