During the recent symposium <strong>\u201cImmunisations in Pregnancy\u201d<\/strong>, the director of the institution, <strong>Daniel Oswaldo G\u00f3mez Rabad\u00e1n<\/strong>, emphasised that every action is designed to ensure <strong>timely and high-quality care<\/strong> for women and newborns. The hospital is <strong>\u00abconvinced that investing in vaccination and promoting breastfeeding is investing in a healthier future\u00bb<\/strong>, a strategy fully aligned with the <strong>National Medical Care Protocols (PRONAM)<\/strong> of the Ministry of Health for care during pregnancy and the first thousand days of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this context, the leader of the <strong>Health Innovation and Research Network of CCINSHAE<\/strong>, <strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Garc\u00eda Salcido<\/strong>, highlighted the <strong>critical importance of promoting health before birth<\/strong>, noting that vaccination is historically the measure that <strong>\u00abhas saved the most lives worldwide\u00bb<\/strong>. In his lecture <strong>\u201cThe Life-Course Perspective on Vaccination\u201d<\/strong>, he explained that this approach, originating from the <strong>World Health Organization (WHO)<\/strong>, seeks to <strong>coordinate interventions across all life stages<\/strong>, under the principle that <strong>\u00abwhat happens in the earliest stage of life influences childhood and adult health\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Garc\u00eda Salcido<\/strong> further emphasised that by <strong>protecting children from gestation through vaccination during pregnancy<\/strong>, their <strong>capacity to respond to infections is strengthened<\/strong>, enhancing overall health; these measures represent <strong>\u00abgetting ahead of vaccine-preventable diseases\u00bb<\/strong>. Mexico maintains a <strong>complete age-based immunisation schedule<\/strong>, including essential vaccines such as <strong>BCG<\/strong> and <strong>Hexavalent<\/strong> in childhood, a <strong>Human Papillomavirus booster<\/strong> for adolescents, and, for pregnant women, doses against <strong>tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (whooping cough)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Hospital de la Mujer<\/strong>, working in coordination with national experts, solidifies its role as a <strong>key institution in implementing preventive strategies with a life-course perspective<\/strong>.
