#SecretariatOfWellbeing<\/strong>,\u00a0#Mexico<\/strong>.\u2013 During the tour led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo<\/strong> in Palizada, Campeche, the Secretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel Reyes<\/strong>, declared powerfully that \u201cit\u2019s time for women\u201d<\/strong> and that they are the true protagonists of the transformation currently under way in Mexico. Consequently, the Bienestar Pension for Women<\/strong>, aimed at Mexican women aged 60 to 64, is being strengthened as an act of justice that finally recognises a lifetime of essential work dedicated to caring for their families<\/strong>. This vital support is now reaching nearly 3 million women nationwide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secretary Montiel Reyes<\/strong> highlighted the leadership of the President, stating: \u201cToday our President is constructing the second floor of the Transformation with a very clear message; it is time for women, and that is why, with her leadership, she established this pension.\u201d<\/strong> She explained that beneficiaries receive a bimonthly deposit<\/strong> via their Banco del Bienestar<\/strong> card and are automatically transitioned to the Pension for Older Adults<\/strong> upon reaching the age of 65, which effectively doubles their income<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She emphasised that the creation of the pension, following the principles of Mexican Humanism<\/strong>, was accelerated at the instruction of the Head of the Federal Executive<\/strong> because \u201cthe women have waited a long time\u201d<\/strong>. The Secretary stressed that this benefit is not \u201ca favour or a handout\u201d<\/strong>, but a right<\/strong>, made possible because public resources are managed with \u201cresponsibility and honesty\u201d<\/strong>, ensuring that the money that \u201cbelongs to the people\u201d<\/strong> is returned to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary concluded by affirming that \u201cwomen are writing the history of Mexico\u201d<\/strong>, and that they are participating in the country\u2019s transformation alongside President Claudia Sheinbaum<\/strong>. She reiterated her commitment to working diligently towards building a more \u201cjust, free, and egalitarian country\u201d<\/strong>, recognising that the tireless labour of Mexican women is what truly drives the nation forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
