#Secretar\u00edaDeCultura<\/strong>,\u00a0#M\u00e9xico.-<\/strong>\u00a0The Z\u00f3calo in Mexico City<\/strong> is set to host a spectacular cultural event on Saturday, 22nd November 2025<\/strong>, as children, adolescents, and young adults from the Community Culture<\/strong> groups finalise their preparations for a grand performance. This showcase forms a vital part of the \u201cAttention to Causes\u201d<\/strong> initiative and is central to the \u201cYoltlajtoli \u2013 Voces Vivas\u201d Community Cultures Festival 2025<\/strong>, a celebration designed to champion Mexico\u2019s rich linguistic and cultural diversity through the voices and creativity of its participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These talented performers include speakers of eleven different indigenous languages<\/strong>, such as Amuzgo (Nn\u2019anncue)<\/strong>, Chichimeco Jonaz (Uz\u00e1)<\/strong>, Mazahua (J\u00f1atrjo)<\/strong>, Mixtec (Na Savi\/\u00d1uu Saavi)<\/strong>, Nahua<\/strong>, Otom\u00ed<\/strong>, Sierra Popoluca<\/strong>, Tarahumara (Rar\u00e1muri\/Ralamuli)<\/strong>, Northern Tepehuan (O\u2019dame)<\/strong>, Southern Tepehuan (O\u2019dam)<\/strong>, and Tlapanec (Me\u2019phaa)<\/strong>. The participants are working closely with collective teams from the DGVC<\/strong>, SNFM<\/strong>, and INPI<\/strong> to develop the production\u2019s texts, musical compositions, scenic designs, and final selection, ensuring authenticity and genuine collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The staged performance draws its artistic inspiration from the Ceiba tree<\/strong>, revered in various Mesoamerican cultures \u2014 notably Maya<\/strong> and Nahua<\/strong> \u2014 as the connection point between the three cosmic planes through its roots, trunk, and canopy. The production is structured around these three powerful scenic moments: the root<\/strong>, symbolising a profound link to ancestors and indigenous languages; the trunk<\/strong>, representing the earthly realm and the challenges of coexistence; and the canopy<\/strong>, becoming the \u201cliving voice\u201d<\/strong> of those committed to protecting nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every rehearsal, gathering, and interpretative moment forms part of a cohesive artistic journey that intertwines traditions, ancestral knowledge, and raw emotion. This creative process will \u201cblossom in the Z\u00f3calo\u201d<\/strong> on Saturday, 22nd November 2025<\/strong>, serving as a potent and visible symbol of unity, cultural memory, and collective hope for the entire nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
