At the inauguration of the first section of <strong>Line K<\/strong>, named <strong>\u00abIstmo-Soconusco\u00bb<\/strong>, she stressed that the railway is not merely about passenger and freight transport but is directly linked to the creation of <strong>Poles of Economic Development for Wellbeing (PODECOBI)<\/strong>. This initiative seeks to generate employment, foster prosperity, and connect the <strong>Gulf of Mexico<\/strong> with the <strong>Pacific Ocean<\/strong>, reshaping regional infrastructure and strengthening ties with Central America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her morning conference, <strong>\u00abLas ma\u00f1aneras del pueblo\u00bb<\/strong>, the President explained that the line is projected to extend towards Guatemala, enhancing regional integration. She stated that the railway will <strong>\u00abhelp enormously with the communication of people and goods from Mexico to Central America and the development of the area\u00bb<\/strong>. Addressing migration challenges, she emphasised that the most effective strategy is to establish centres of wellbeing, announcing new development poles in <strong>Tapachula<\/strong> and <strong>Arriaga<\/strong>, in addition to six already planned along <strong>Line Z<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Citizens are already benefitting from the project, travelling from <strong>Tonal\u00e1, Chiapas<\/strong>, to <strong>Ixtepec, Oaxaca<\/strong>, on the newly inaugurated section. Additional routes now connect <strong>Salina Cruz, Oaxaca<\/strong>, with <strong>Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz<\/strong>, and from <strong>Coatzacoalcos<\/strong> to <strong>Palenque, Chiapas<\/strong>, where the line links with the <strong>Maya Train<\/strong>. On her inaugural journey through stations such as <strong>Arriaga, Juchit\u00e1n<\/strong> and <strong>Espinal<\/strong>, the President witnessed the <strong>\u00abjoy of the people\u00bb<\/strong>, who expressed being <strong>\u00abhappy\u00bb<\/strong> and enthusiastic about the railway\u2019s opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also recalled that former President <strong>Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador<\/strong> had inaugurated the section between <strong>Coatzacoalcos<\/strong> and <strong>Palenque<\/strong>, noting that the project is <strong>\u00abintegral to the south-east of the country\u00bb<\/strong>. Beyond rail transport, it includes improvements to port facilities in <strong>Puerto Chiapas<\/strong> and <strong>Salina Cruz<\/strong>, reinforcing its multimodal character and broadening its economic impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Interoceanic Railway<\/strong> now stands as a symbol of progress and connectivity, consolidating Mexico\u2019s economic geography and strengthening its link with Central America.
