This proactive initiative<\/strong> is viewed as a critical step<\/strong> towards strengthening the nation’s logistics framework, enabling Mexican businesses to fully capitalise on the current economic environment. This partnership reaffirms<\/strong> the shared commitment of both the government and the private sector to catalyse<\/strong> economic development driven by local talent<\/strong> and production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vidal Llerenas Morales<\/strong>, the Undersecretary of Industry and Commerce<\/strong>, was keen to highlight the proactive nature<\/strong> of the agreement, stating it was not merely about \u00abexpand[ing] their work in Mexico, not only invest[ing] more in Mexico, but work[ing] with companies so that they can achieve this.\u00bb<\/strong> He underscored that, given the current economic climate, particularly amidst the USMCA discussions<\/strong>, facilitating and strengthening national logistics is an evident challenge<\/strong>. Mr Llerenas<\/strong> confirmed that the Government of Mexico<\/strong> is advancing various simplification programmes<\/strong> and simultaneously fortifying<\/strong> the country’s infrastructure<\/strong> to seize the opportunity of North American integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategic accord is viewed by Fernando D\u00edaz Barrero<\/strong>, the Director General of Productive Development<\/strong> at the Ministry of Economy, as a \u00abkey piece within the Plan Mexico\u00bb<\/strong>, a comprehensive national strategy focused on boosting national production<\/strong>, local content<\/strong>, and economic growth. The agreement incorporates several relevant benefits<\/strong> for enterprises holding the \u00abHecho en M\u00e9xico\u00bb<\/strong> certificate, including discounts of up to 45%<\/strong> on domestic and international shipments, complimentary quarterly webinars<\/strong> on logistics and packaging, and personalised, cost-free advice<\/strong> on packing and shipping matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement further provides crucial international promotion<\/strong> through the global network of FedEx<\/strong>, which maintains a presence in more than 220 countries<\/strong>, and includes specialised exposure<\/strong> for these certified businesses in a dedicated section on the FedEx portal. Jorge L. Torres<\/strong>, Vice President of Operations for FedEx Mexico<\/strong>, emphasised his company’s confidence, noting that \u201cFedEx firmly believes in the potential of Mexico and the strength of its entrepreneurs.\u201d<\/strong> He reiterated that this covenant \u00abreaffirms the commitment to boost MSMEs, facilitating their expansion and connecting Mexican innovation and what is Made in Mexico with opportunities around the world.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Economy<\/strong> continues to demonstrate its leadership<\/strong> in modernising<\/strong> the country’s industrial policy, playing a vital role<\/strong> in generating propitious conditions for investment<\/strong>, innovation<\/strong>, and the successful integration<\/strong> of Mexican companies into global supply chains<\/strong>.
