This novel scheme for the distribution and access to essential medicines promises to be a crucial <strong>\u00abeconomic and medical lifeline\u00bb<\/strong> for thousands of vulnerable <strong>older adults<\/strong> and persons with <strong>disabilities<\/strong> enrolled in the existing <strong>Salud Casa por Casa<\/strong> (Health Home by Home) programme. The <strong>inaugural and consequential phase<\/strong> commences immediately, establishing a robust framework across <strong>500 Health Units<\/strong> belonging to the <strong>IMSS<\/strong> and <strong>IMSS Bienestar<\/strong> networks, including vital satellite modules within the <strong>Tiendas del Bienestar<\/strong> (Wellbeing Stores) across the <strong>State of Mexico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This streamlined logistic model is specifically designed to eliminate <strong>\u00abprotracted waiting periods\u00bb<\/strong> and significantly enhance the daily lives of beneficiaries, as articulated by the <strong>President<\/strong> during her morning press briefing, \u00abLas ma\u00f1aneras del pueblo\u00bb: <strong>\u201cThrough Salud Casa por Casa, you will have your prescriptions and will be able to permanently receive the prescription for your medication\u201d<\/strong>. To ensure this vital efficiency, dedicated delivery modules \u2013 now collectively known as the <strong>Wellbeing Pharmacies<\/strong> \u2013 are being strategically set up <strong>\u00aboutside\u00bb<\/strong> the main healthcare centres and at the <strong>Wellbeing Stores<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Secretar\u00eda de Bienestar<\/strong> (Ministry of Wellbeing) has played an instrumental role, with its head, <strong>Ariadna Montiel Reyes<\/strong>, reporting that <strong>8,818,488 home consultations<\/strong> were completed by <strong>1 December<\/strong> under the related <strong>Salud Casa por Casa<\/strong> programme.
