This <strong>critical<\/strong> <strong>action<\/strong> <strong>signalled<\/strong> a <strong>firm<\/strong> <strong>commitment<\/strong> to <strong>stability<\/strong> within the <strong>health<\/strong> <strong>system<\/strong> as <strong>part<\/strong> of the <strong>\u00abPlan<\/strong> <strong>Michoac\u00e1n<\/strong> <strong>por<\/strong> <strong>la<\/strong> <strong>Paz<\/strong> <strong>y<\/strong> <strong>la<\/strong> <strong>Justicia<\/strong>.\u00bb The <strong>integration<\/strong> of this <strong>personnel<\/strong> into <strong>rural<\/strong> and <strong>zone<\/strong> <strong>hospitals<\/strong> of the <strong>Mexican<\/strong> <strong>Social<\/strong> <strong>Security<\/strong> <strong>Institute<\/strong> (<strong>IMSS<\/strong>) aims to <strong>fortify<\/strong> regional <strong>healthcare<\/strong> provision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the <strong>morning<\/strong> <strong>press<\/strong> <strong>conference<\/strong>, <strong>\u00abLas ma\u00f1aneras del pueblo\u00bb<\/strong>, <strong>Presidenta Sheinbaum<\/strong> <strong>explained<\/strong> that this <strong>basification<\/strong> <strong>responds<\/strong> to a <strong>longstanding<\/strong> <strong>request<\/strong> from <strong>IMSS<\/strong> <strong>workers<\/strong> to <strong>abandon<\/strong> their <strong>temporary<\/strong> <strong>posts<\/strong>. The <strong>priority<\/strong> <strong>given<\/strong> to <strong>Michoac\u00e1n<\/strong> for this <strong>measure<\/strong> meant that <strong>some<\/strong> of the <strong>newly<\/strong> <strong>contracted<\/strong> <strong>staff<\/strong> would <strong>change<\/strong> their <strong>adscription<\/strong> to <strong>rural<\/strong> <strong>hospitals<\/strong> or <strong>clinics<\/strong> that <strong>previously<\/strong> <strong>lacked<\/strong> <strong>sufficient<\/strong> <strong>doctors<\/strong> or <strong>nurses<\/strong>, thereby <strong>addressing<\/strong> a <strong>critical<\/strong> <strong>deficit<\/strong> in primary care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Zo\u00e9 Robledo Aburto<\/strong>, <strong>Director<\/strong> <strong>General<\/strong> of the <strong>IMSS<\/strong>, <strong>detailed<\/strong> the <strong>composition<\/strong> of the <strong>new<\/strong> <strong>workforce<\/strong>, <strong>specifying<\/strong> that the <strong>270<\/strong> <strong>employees<\/strong> comprise <strong>127<\/strong> <strong>women<\/strong> and <strong>143<\/strong> <strong>men<\/strong>.
