(#EarlyChildhoodEducation<\/strong> – #MexicoAdvances<\/strong>) The Secretar\u00eda de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes<\/strong> (#SICT<\/strong>), in coordination with the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social<\/strong> (#IMSS<\/strong>), has announced the construction of 43 Centros de Educaci\u00f3n y Cuidado Infantil<\/strong> (#CECI<\/strong>). This investment of 1,980 million pesos will create modern #ChildcareFacilities<\/strong> to serve 6,160 children aged 0\u20134. The programme is presented as a strategic advance in early\u2011childhood provision for working families. Construction is scheduled to commence this year on the first tranche of centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheme will extend across 40 municipalities in 17 federative entities, including Aguascalientes<\/strong>, Jalisco<\/strong>, Veracruz<\/strong> and the Estado de M\u00e9xico<\/strong>. Each centre will be designed to meet stringent standards of safety, functionality and pedagogical suitability. Site proposals are being drawn from IMSS territorial reserves and donated land, and technical support will be provided by the SICT<\/strong>. Nine of the 43 centres are slated to begin construction in the initial phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
