Graffiti, an art form capable of linking with the community where it is created, says artist David Omar Saucedo

#SecretaríaDeCultura. –  With the aim of establishing a dialogue between art and his community, visual artist and graffiti artist David Omar Saucedo, originally from Papalotla, Tlaxcala, has spent years working and exploring the various currents of visual art to show local and national audiences the cultural richness of his state.

In an interview, Saucedo comments that from a very young age he became interested in graffiti art, being this technique the one that inspired him to pursue a professional career in the visual arts.

«I started painting in the street, my first approach was through graffiti, but as I always had the idea of transmitting a message, it was then that the opportunity to study plastic arts came to me. From there everything took a more interesting path, because now I realize that I can paint in the street, but with a meaning, with a composition and thus give a much clearer message, «he says.
