Baja California state government guarantees inputs for oat and corn growers in the Mexicali valley

#Mexicali, #BajaCalifornia. – Following the policies promoted by the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, to strengthen the agricultural sector of Baja California and as part of the Conversion Program promoted by the State Government, through the Secretary of Agriculture and Food Security, consolidated purchases of inputs were made in support of oat and corn producers.

The Secretary of Agriculture and Food Security, Juan Meléndrez Espinoza, indicated that the purpose of these purchases is to guarantee supply and fix crop costs.

The state official indicated that 80 thousand kilograms of oat seed were purchased from producers in the state of Chihuahua and 50 thousand kilograms were purchased from local producers in the Mexicali Valley.
