ARIADNA MONTIEL REYES, SECRETARY OF WELFARE: Good morning. We are going to report, with the permission of the President, the progress of the pensions and programs of the Welfare Secretariat.
In July 2021 we had a census of eight million senior citizens who were already on the pension. As you know, there is a special plan for this pension and we can now say with great pleasure that by January 31 we will reach the goal of 10 million 259 thousand senior citizens incorporated into the pension, as was the commitment of Mr. President.
The payment for this two-month period, January-February, which has just been paid in January, as we have already said, there are more than 10 million senior citizens, the investment for the two-month period is 39,500 million and we have made 91 percent progress in the payment.
In the case of the Pension for Persons with Disabilities, we have already exceeded one million children incorporated into this program, the investment for this two-month period from January to February is two thousand 852 million pesos and we have made 89.1 percent progress in payment.
