Pachuca City Hall commemorates the birth of Benito Juárez

#Pachuca, #Hgo.- On a day like today, but in 1806, the «Benemérito de las Américas», Benito Pablo Juárez García, President of Mexico from 1858 to 1872, was born in San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca.

During his term in office, he strove to put the liberal ideology into practice, dictating laws to enforce agrarian reform, freedom of the press, the separation between Church and State and the submission of the army to civilian authority.
