125 medical residents arrive in Nayarit to provide health care in the IMSS-Bienestar Program

#InstitutoMexicanoDelSeguroSocial.– The Governor of Nayarit, Dr. Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, and the Director General of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Maestro Zoé Robledo, welcomed 125 resident doctors who, as of today, April 1, will work in the medical units of the IMSS-Bienestar Program in the state.

Both officials agreed that through the experience and capacity of IMSS-Bienestar it is possible to build an integral health model that provides solutions and medical services to families, communities and the population in general.

The ceremony took place at the State Council for Culture and Arts of Nayarit (CECAN), in what used to be the historic former Textile Factory in the town of Bellavista, where it was highlighted that of the 125 resident doctors, 72 are women and 53 are men.

In his message, Dr. Miguel Angel Navarro Quintero, said that it is not a matter of seeing who wins, but of giving certainty in medical attention to all Mexicans, without the existence of a card that proves their entitlement to IMSS or ISSSTE, because that is inhumane.
