«Historic participation and registration of candidates; everyone wants to be in Carnival 2022»: Patricia Lobeira

#Veracruz, #Ver.- At the official presentation of the candidates for king, queen and children’s kings of the Carnival of Veracruz 2022 in the Plaza del Magisterio, Mayor Patricia Lobeira Rodriguez said she was very pleased with the great participation in the registrations for these carnival festivities.

She said that the call to register as candidates formally closed on April 1st and 17 participants were registered -5 candidates for queen, 6 for king of joy; and 4 girls and 2 boys for children’s kings-, which is a historical record in the life of the Carnival of Veracruz.

SHe informed that next May 30 will be the final tally of the voting to announce the winners. «My congratulations to all of you for being part of our traditions and of the most important celebration of Veracruz; I want to invite you to continue participating and supporting your favorites. I wish you all the best of luck,» she said.

The Mayoress affirmed that both the members of the Carnival Committee and the Veracruz City Hall are committed to offer Veracruz citizens and visitors a party full of joy, color and tradition.
