In Tecámac, Mariela Gutiérrez receives the recognition of Ambassador of Sports for Development and Peace

#Tecámac, #StateOfMexico. – The municipal president, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante is the first mayor in the country to receive the recognition as Ambassador of Sports for Development and Peace, awarded by the Alfredo Harp Helú Foundation, for her work in promoting sports in Tecámac.

The president of the Alfredo Harp Helú Foundation and Vice President of the Mexican Olympic Committee, Daniel Aceves Villagrán, explained that this recognition was granted to the mayor of Tecámac, for demonstrating that when there is political will, professional capacity and quality teamwork, it is possible to have a social instrument such as the «Sierra Hermosa» ecological and sports park.

«It is a very high privilege, president, that you in deeds, trajectory and will, are part of this select group, where there are Olympic medalists, Paralympians, professional wrestlers, boxers, mountaineers, soccer players, basketball players and athletes in various disciplines. It is a select group of 40 people… and you are the first constitutional municipal president in this country to receive this recognition and it fills us with pride», he said.

She pointed out that the administration headed by Gutiérrez Escalante has demonstrated that public policies can be implemented through the efficient use of public resources with the participation of the private sector.

In her speech, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, mentioned that since she took office in 2019, comprehensive policies were implemented to prioritize the development of citizens «We took on the task of doing it in a comprehensive manner … for me the most important thing is the people, because this transformation will only happen if it is done jointly between society and government,» said the mayoress.
