First Stage of Acapulco’s Western Beltway begins operations: SICT

#SecretaríaDeComunicacionesYTransporte.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) put into operation the Acapulco Western Beltway, 1st Stage, with an investment of 4,248.8 million pesos, through a financing scheme of the National Infrastructure Fund (Fonadin).

This important beltway has a length of 21.0 km, with a crown width of 21.0 meters, to accommodate four lanes, two in each direction. It has three tunnels, four viaducts, four bridges and three overpasses.

The «Plaza de Cobro del Libramiento Poniente de Acapulco», which will depend on Capufe for its administration and operation, is located from kilometer 2+830 to km 3+660, was executed with resources from the Fondo Nacional de Infraestructura and had a total investment of 140.0 million pesos. It is estimated that the Annual Average Daily Traffic (ADT) will be 6,648 vehicles.
