These actions in favor of the health of Mexico’s workers to reduce chronic degenerative diseases and prevent accidents in the workplace were achieved through extensive coordination between the IMSS and the business sector, states and workers’ organizations.

Presenting this strategy at the Fundidora Park in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, which was attended by the governor of the entity, Samuel Garcia Sepulveda, leaders of the business sector, workers and the Secretary of Economy, Tatiana Cluothier, the director general of Social Security, Zoé Robledo, emphasized that from the difficult experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, a space for learning and lessons must be developed, as was the New Normality and the coordination with businessmen, «this possibility of working on the basis of trust is what we have proposed here today with ELSSA, trust based on co-responsibility».
