Mayor Patricia Lobeira de Yunes launches the Municipal Food Support Program Veracruz Smiles

#Veracruz, #Ver.- The Mayoress Patricia Lobeira de Yunes started the «Municipal Food Support Program» with the delivery of 6,200 food packages, an amount that will increase to a total of 40,000 beneficiary families, which will be delivered on a monthly basis throughout the municipality of Veracruz.

This important program is launched this Tuesday in the rural area, delivering pantries to families in the towns of Santa Fe, San Julian, El Pando and Villarin.

«The Municipal Food Support Program is one of the most important of my administration, which will contribute to access to food for the population that needs it most; as a government we will always seek to raise the quality of life of Veracruz citizens, and this is a great example of that,» said the Mayoress.

She stressed that something very important about why she wanted to deliver food packages is because, in addition to the pandemic, which has been a complicated period, families are also experiencing the issue of inflation in the basic food basket.
