25% and 50% discounts for Teachers and Students on Rail and Bus Services

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) will put into effect discounts of 25 percent and 50 percent for teachers and students, respectively, on railroad and federal passenger transportation services during the summer vacation period.

The discounts will be in effect between Friday, July 29 and Sunday, August 28 of this year, in accordance with the official vacation calendar established by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) or by the various universities of the country for the same school year.

Teachers and students must prove their status before the railroad service providers and federal passenger transportation service permit holders, by showing the corresponding credential in force.

Or through the certificate issued for such purpose by the school to which they belong, which must contain the name and seal of the school, name and photograph of the holder and, if applicable, account or registration number.

The credentials with which teachers and students must prove their entitlement to the discount shall be exclusively from the educational institutions mentioned below:

Integrated to the education systems of the SEP; directorates or departments of education in the federal entities; UNAM; IPN; universities throughout the Republic; institutes, Free Schools of Law, Commerce and Homeopathy; Colegio de Bachilleres, and the schools incorporated to the aforementioned.
