AEM and Government of Guerrero will promote Space Development

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), through the Mexican Space Agency (AEM), and the government of the state of Guerrero signed a Letter of Intent in order to set the basis for capacity building for the space sector, which will generate a positive impact on the productive vocations of the entity.

The event was presided over by the Director General of the AEM, Salvador Landeros Ayala and Marcial Rodríguez Saldaña, Secretary of Education and personal representative of the Constitutional Governor of the State of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado Pineda.

«Thanks to the vision of Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, the AEM now joins the transformation of Guerrero that she leads, through the objective of promoting the talent of the youth, in order to strengthen an educational revolution in the field, in its innovation system, and in its business competitiveness,» said Landeros Ayala.

On behalf of the state government, Secretary Rodriguez Saldaña said that through the «Guerrero in Space» Project, the aim is to encourage the interest of young people in the study and research of space sciences, to promote the development of science, technology and innovation, as part of the Educational Transformation in the state.
