The Ministry of Communications and Transportation invites to drive respecting the indications on roads and highways

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) recommends that when traveling on roads and highways during these summer vacations, you follow the signs posted on the roads: respect speed limits, wear your seat belt and do not use your cell phone while driving.

According to the Mexican Institute of Transportation (IMT), every year 16 thousand people die in road accidents and this is due to the lack of road culture.

Consider that speed is one of the factors that influences accidents and because of its danger many lives are lost every year; speeding not only violates traffic regulations, it creates a constant risk for you and for those who accompany you.

Reduce your speed when road or weather conditions are adverse, when your car is faulty, or when the driver’s physical condition is not optimal.

For safety reasons, slow down when entering a town, turning, or changing from high to low lanes; when your field of vision is reduced at intersections with other roads, on curves and ridges, on winding roads, at night, and when entering bridges, tunnels or overpasses.
