SICT strengthens road safety actions to reduce accidents on the country’s highways / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- In the framework of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) calls for building a safer country and raising awareness on the number of accidents resulting from road accidents.

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death for people between 15 and 29 years old, so as a society we must work to correct it.

During 2021, on federal toll-free highways alone, there were 15 thousand 20 collisions that left 3 thousand 298 people dead at the scene of the accident and 8 thousand 217 injured.

The agency strengthens its road programs to make more users safe and aware of the roads, as well as to preserve the road patrimony of the Federal Highway Network. To this end, it launched the Carretera Segura road safety campaign, to which it joined efforts with other public and private institutions to magnify the impact and achieve greater sensitivity in drivers.
