#SICT.- The Mexican Space Agency (AEM), a decentralized agency of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), signed a strategic alliance with Satellogic, a leading Earth observation company, in order to expand our country’s access to geospatial data for strategic social applications.

«This letter of intent adds to the set of actions within Mexico’s interest in expanding Latin American cooperation in space matters, with the special emphasis of our country to give social uses to space science and technology,» highlighted the general director of the AEM, Salvador Landeros Ayala.

Therefore, AEM and Satellogic, finding common interests in the implementation of satellites and at the same time contribute to innovation and technological development in the space field, formalized their interest in establishing collaboration mechanisms with mutual benefits.

Satellogic, which started in 2010 in Argentina and today is listed on Nasdaq (SATL), has developed a program called «Constellation-as-a-Service» with the objective of enabling municipal, state and national governments to start using satellites to optimize their daily tasks in specific areas of interest.
