Discounts for Mexican teachers and students traveling during winter vacations / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- During the winter vacation period, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) will put into effect discounts for teachers and students traveling by federal passenger transportation or railroad service.

According to a circular issued by the General Directorate of Federal Transportation, the discounts will be 25 and 50 percent for teachers and students, respectively, and will be in effect until January 1, 2023.

Teachers and students must present their credentials or school certificates. These must contain the name and seal of the school, name and photograph of the holder and, if applicable, account or enrollment number.

The credentials with which teachers and students must prove their entitlement to the discount shall be from the following educational institutions:

Integrated to the education systems of the SEP; directorates or departments of education in the federal entities; National Autonomous University of Mexico; National Polytechnic Institute; universities throughout the Republic; institutes; free schools of law, commerce and homeopathy; Colegio de Bachilleres, and schools incorporated to the aforementioned.
