#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- During this winter season, the Municipal Government continues to protect the most vulnerable families through the program «Abrazando Familias» (Embracing Families).

With this program, the Municipal System for the Development of the Family (DIF San Miguel de Allende) continues with the delivery of blankets in the most remote localities of the urban area of San Miguel de Allende, mainly those in the mountainous areas of the municipality.

«Here, the cold is impressive, they don’t have enough to buy a blanket and we give them this small gift. We want the family to be united, to sleep warmly and to hug each other with the blankets we give them,» said the director of DIF, Brisa Calderón.

On the instructions of Mayor Mauricio Trejo, the Municipal DIF team carried out its public policy of supporting the families of San Miguel in their priority needs: their health and their economy.

«With Mayor Mauricio Trejo we have always bet that it is health and economy and obviously it is reflected in the economy, because you do not spend to go to the doctor.»
