Culiacan and Mazatlan airports return to normal operations: AFAC / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), a decentralized body of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), reports that the airports of Culiacán, Mazatlán and Los Mochis, Sinaloa, as well as Ciudad Obregón, in Sonora, have resumed operations in their entirety.

The Culiacan and Mazatlan air terminals were reopened as of 10:00 am local time, after the respective meetings with their airport security committees, while Ciudad Obregon at 06:00 am and Los Mochis at 07:00 am this Friday, January 06, 2023.

It should be noted that the meeting of the Local Security Committee of Culiacan and Mazatlan, respectively, determined the reopening of operations.

Likewise, airport commanders were instructed to support and coordinate with the airlines to facilitate service extensions and attend to delays at the request of the companies themselves, as well as to compensate any possible damages caused.

The rest of the country’s airports are also carrying out their activities normally, with the reinforcement of security protocols.
