Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue, recognizes 150 high performance athletes / @diegosinhue @gobiernogto >>>

#EstadoDeGuanajuato.- The Government of the State of Guanajuato emphasizes the importance of encouraging its athletes, therefore, Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, presented awards to 150 high performance athletes who represent Guanajuato and México in national teams in various international sports disciplines.

«Feel proud to be from Guanajuato and be careful, guanajuatense is not only the one who was born here, guanajuatense is the one who has decided to make his life here, here all athletes are welcome and received.

«We believe that this is the key to return peace to Guanajuato, disciplined young people, with values and who are an example for other children. I want to see you on the billboards as super heroes, because when children want to be like you, they will realize that they have to work, make an effort, be disciplined and stay away from vices, that is what we need in a society,» said Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo.

This year, Guanajuato’s athletes will have important sporting events, such as the Pan American Games, the Central American Games, as well as the World Championships, which will serve as selective for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The State of Guanajuato has a solid base of high performance athletes in conventional and disability sports, so the State Government will continue to provide quantity and quality to the national delegations in international events.

Some of the high performance athletes representing Guanajuato and Mexico participate in disciplines such as swimming and para-swimming, in the latter, the State is the base of the men’s national team, with the Gutierrez Bermudez brothers from Irapuato; and Paralympic medalists Jesus Hernandez and Angel Camacho.
