First anniversary of Universal Coverage for Childhood Cancer is commemorated in Nuevo León / @samuel_garcias @nuevoleon >>>

#EstadoDeNuevoLeón.- Among trapeze artists, jugglers and clowns, the first anniversary of Universal Coverage for Children and Adolescents with Cancer was commemorated at the Aurelio Atayde Circus in the municipality of San Nicolás.

The event was headed by Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda; Mariana Rodríguez Cantú, from Amar a Nuevo León; Alma Rosa Marroquín Escamilla, Secretary of Health; and Martha Herrera, Secretary of Equality and Inclusion, who together with beneficiary families enjoyed the show.

In his message, the State President pointed out that for this year 2023, the budget was increased by 50 percent by allocating 230 million pesos to the High Cost Diseases Trust Fund.

«Never again will a father or mother of a family suffer this, and they will have the government supporting them and on their side,» said García Sepúlveda.

«Today this program is being replicated in other states of the Republic, such as Jalisco, and yesterday in the Senate an initiative was introduced to put this program into effect throughout the Republic.
