#GobiernoDeMéxico.- .- The Director General of the Mexican Social Security Institute, Zoé Robledo Aburto, informed that the IMSS Bienestar Health Plan will offer incentives to medical doctors and specialists in order to take their services to the most remote communities in the country.

In a morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the official announced that this initiative will pay up to 9,000 pesos per month as compensation for difficult-to-cover positions to those who opt for these vacancies.

In medical units with partial coverage, more than five thousand pesos will be paid and, in the case of Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, the support will reach two thousand pesos on average, he explained.

In addition, this program will offer double positions in the IMSS Ordinario and IMSS Bienestar and will open up the possibility for direct family members, such as the specialists’ partners, to have access to job offers, he said.

IMSS, he said, trains half of the specialized medical personnel in the country and thanks to the policies of the Mexican Government, the number of graduates will rise from 3,960 in 2019 to 5,600 in 2023.
