#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) presented the main advances and the 108 agreements established to carry out the cargo migration process from Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA).

In a meeting headed by Secretary Jorge Nuño Lara, the SICT explained to representatives of the cargo industry that agreements have been reached and are in the process of being finalized at the work tables coordinated with federal authorities.

For this reason, the head of the SICT affirmed that a coordinated work with all those involved achieves an orderly migration in the cargo service in «a win-win process».

He said that, in this moving stage, which began last February 2 with the publication of the Decree, the objective is to achieve a migration «at the lowest possible cost», reduce the uncertainty that any change generates and reach July 7 of this year, the goal for the closure of dedicated cargo at the International Airport of Mexico City (AICM).

In this regard, during the event held at the AIFA facilities, the SICT announced the schedule that specifies the activities of certifications, route modifications, accreditation of cargo agents, as well as the operation of government agencies such as the National Customs Agency of Mexico (ANAM) and the National Health, Safety and Quality Service (SENASICA).
