With materials that can be found at home, Seven Lives Graphic Lab invites to create new graphic expressions in Durango / @alefrausto @cultura_mx >>>

#Cultura.- Made up of five artists from Durango -two women and three men- who are dedicated to the production of book-art, serigraphy, traditional and experimental engraving, the Laboratorio Gráfico Siete Vidas is characterized by bringing tools and techniques for the creation of graphic arts to children, young people and adults from different communities in Durango.

Israel Torres, founder of the group, comments in an interview that the projects of Siete Vidas are oriented towards the collective and collaborative, and focus on people who hardly have access to cultural houses, art academies or museums.

Founded in 2015, Laboratorio Gráfico Siete Vidas also aims to «produce its own graphics, to implement projects that have to do with sharing graphics under different forms or under different formats,» Torres says.

«Graphics as printmaking, which is the most traditional, but also graphics as book-art, as posters, as other forms or other variants that also have to do with issues and concerns of the communities we approach, whether rural or urban, so that through different printing systems they can record and reflect on various aspects of their culture.»
