Historic rescue of the Government of Veracruz for the potable water system in Tuxpan exceeds $700 million pesos / @CuitlahuacGJ @GobiernoVer >>>

#EstadoDeVeracruz.- This city has long suffered from water supply problems and the solution required a historic investment; «they inaugurated a water treatment plant in 2012 and it was not finished,» said Governor Cuitláhuac García Jiménez during a supervisory tour this weekend.

Therefore, this system is in its fourth stage of rehabilitation with an amount of 64 million pesos; currently in the replacement of pumps and valves, repair of clarifiers and filters, chlorination tests, construction of a storm drain and new maneuvering tower and electrical equipment, which had registered a theft of components.

Thus, it is now possible to send 360 liters per second to the more than 143,000 users, but this also requires the renovation of the pipeline. In this sense, with a budget of 224 million pesos, the first phase of the installation of 40-inch fiberglass-reinforced polyester pipe is underway, along 13 kilometers from El Xúchitl, municipality of Alamo.

This will bring water to the treatment plant from the Pantepec River, replacing an 80-year-old network that was constantly failing and passing through other towns such as Belén, Doctor Montes de Oca and San Miguel, entering Tuxpan through Ojite to Pamplona, where the distribution system is located.
