#ISSSTE.- The Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste), through the Dirección de Prestaciones Económicas, Sociales y Culturales, trained the Health and Safety at Work commissions of the different entities of the Federal Public Administration (APF) affiliated to the agency’s system, with the aim of strengthening the prevention and reduction of risks in workplaces in order to maintain compliance with the corresponding regulations.

The Deputy Director of Pensions, Anahí Vargas Vargas, explained that one of the instructions of the General Director, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, is to improve the processes in each area of the Institute, so the courses seek to share information to anticipate and manage possible risk factors for workers.

«Safety and health at work is a matter that concerns the different sectors of society, since it implies the protection of all workers, whether they belong to the private sector or to the government. In the latter, it is of utmost importance that as public servants we know the responsibility that implies the regulatory follow-up and the consequence of the results, which beyond the formal aspect, is reflected in the materialization of safety and hygiene at work in the workplaces.»

We know that the challenge for 2023 is greater; however, we have the firm conviction to redouble our efforts so that the agencies and entities generate real and substantive impact, and comply with the regulations for the benefit of the workers, he commented.
