Women’s cities offer training and integral attention to the women of Mexiquense / @alfredodelmazo @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- In an effort to provide comprehensive support to women in vulnerable situations and offer them empowerment tools through training courses, nine state agencies, the Judiciary, the Attorney General’s Office and the Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico, as well as the municipalities of San Mateo Atenco and La Paz, offer their services to the community in two spaces called Ciudades Mujeres (Women’s Cities).

With an intersectional approach, these spaces offer various services free of charge, including legal and psychological counseling in four modalities: crisis intervention, psychological counseling, psycho-emotional accompaniment and psychological treatment.

The Women’s Cities also provide social work counseling in cases of domestic violence, home visits and links that seek to guarantee the social rights of women in the public, social and private spheres.

In these spaces, the Public Defender’s Institute is present to offer legal advice and guidance on various legal issues, from civil, family, commercial and criminal matters, to adolescent justice, amparo and administrative responsibilities.

This institute also offers representation in ministerial and judicial stages, as well as legal sponsorship in civil, family, commercial and administrative liability matters.

For its part, the San Mateo Atenco Adjunct Office, another institution present in Ciudad Mujeres, is responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to women in vulnerable situations, and if necessary, they are also responsible for making arrangements and referrals to the competent authorities to address the problem, following up on the care provided.
