#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- On the occasion of 70 years of diplomatic relations between México and Israel, the Government of Tecámac and the Embassy of Israel in México unveiled a commemorative plaque and planted an olive tree in Agora Aranjuez, located in Villa del Real 3rd section.

As a symbol of the strength of the bonds of friendship that unite both nations, this event took place where the Municipal President of Tecámac, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, together with the Ambassador of Israel, Zvi Tal, pulled cords to unveil the commemorative metal plaque and later placed soil to plant the olive tree.

During her message, Mayor Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, recognized that Israel in such a short time, has consolidated its position in different areas such as technology, trade, security and cybersecurity.

She pointed out that Israel is México’s first commercial partner; and our country is the second commercial partner of this Middle Eastern nation, and in 2022 the countries of Latin America reached an investment of Israeli capital for one billion dollars.
For his part, Ambassador Zvi Tal, recognized the importance of working hand in hand with municipalities to address common challenges and take advantage of opportunities for growth and development in key areas such as water, agriculture, innovation and technology transfer.

In addition, he indicated that «relations between peoples through values and symbols are of vital importance, since their cultural and human connection tends to be more lasting than relations between governments. In other words, when we connect on a cultural and human level, we establish stronger and more lasting ties that transcend political borders. These ties based on diversity and mutual respect are fundamental to building a more united and harmonious world.»

The commemorative plaque installed contains the legend: «In commemoration of 70 years of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Israel, which have been of great benefit to our peoples». The reason for planting an olive tree is due to the ancestral connection with the land, the millenary history and the hope for a prosperous and peaceful future; a plant that is present in Israel’s coat of arms, where two olive branches surround the menorah.

Representatives of Keren Kayemet LeIsrael, and the Christian organizations Pastors Who Love and Support Zion (PAAZ) and the Christian Church, Center of Faith, Hope and Love also participated in this event.
