#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- In view of the increase in the potable water service as a result of the heat waves that affected San Miguel’s territory, municipal president Mauricio Trejo announced a support for the family economy.

Through a live video from his social networks, the municipal president announced an economic discount, so that Sanmiguelense families pay less in their bill corresponding to the month of July.

«The economy of Sanmiguelenses has never been an indifferent issue for me. I have told Sapasma, in accordance with the powers granted by its regulations, to generate a 50% discount to all San Miguel residents on their water bill for the month of July, to all those who have a home account, to all San Miguel residents: a 50% discount on their water bill for the month of July, which will be the one you are going to pay next month: in the month of August,» said Mauricio Trejo.

Due to the fact that the people in San Miguel suffered the heat waves during June and July, with historically high temperatures in this municipality, the municipal president said he was aware of the high consumption of water service in homes and, consequently, made public the instruction sent to the Potable Water and Sewage System (Sapasma) to apply this economic discount.

«Many of us don’t remember those high temperatures, never before experienced by us. I hope I can contribute a little to your economy and: what is fair is fair,» said the mayor of San Miguel.

This action adds to the strategy instructed by President Mauricio Trejo to the entire Municipal Administration and with special emphasis to Sapasma, to recover the water for the sanmiguelenses, to stop benefiting private interests and that the vital liquid reaches more homes throughout the municipal territory.
