CECAFIS obtains international reaccreditation as an institution of excellence in the training of police officers in Querétaro / @makugo @gobqro >>>

#EstadoDeQuerétaro.- The Centro de Capacitación, Formación e Investigación para la Seguridad del Estado de Querétaro (CECAFIS) carried out the evaluation that corresponds every four years to maintain the international certification as an academy of excellence in police training, granted by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) in Oklahoma City, United States.

The director of CECAFIS, Alberto Luna López, attended the Conference of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, CALEA 2023, where he appeared before experts in the field of professionalization of training academies for law enforcement agents, to expose the processes implemented in Querétaro to train community policemen from 17 municipalities and the state police, in addition to defining the general policies of the academies of the Attorney General’s Office and the Penitentiary System.

«I attended the CALEA 2023 Conference from July 25 to 29, accompanied by the Accreditation Manager of the Training Academy, where I had the opportunity to appear publicly before specialists in professionalization and training, to give proof of compliance with the 159 international standards with which we operate at CECAFIS,» he exposed.

In order to achieve this recertification, different stages required by the American conference were approved. The work began in 2022 with a documentary review of the administrative and academic processes implemented by CECAFIS, while in February of this year the on-site audit was carried out, in which experts verified the actions, infrastructure and organization of the center to certify compliance with the 159 standards that evaluate the training of the Proximity Police of Queretaro.

Obtaining this international accreditation allows Queretaro to remain as one of the three states nationwide with the tri-arc granted by CALEA: Law Enforcement, Communications and Training Academy, in addition to complying with the State Security Program in its strategic line of more and better police officers, as well as consolidating the management model in education and training of personnel empowered in the legal use of force, instructed by the governor, Mauricio Kuri Gonzalez.
