#Tlalnepantla, #Edoméx.- The Government of Tlalnepantla headed by Marco Antonio Rodríguez Hurtado, accompanied by the Honorary President of the Municipal DIF System María Gómez Martínez, announced the creation of the «Violence Prevention» Directorate, with the purpose of attending, accompanying and achieving positive results in a short period of time in the issue of violence against women.
Tony Rodriguez mentioned that, «after an analysis and study focused on the procurement of women, I have decided to create the Directorate of «Prevention of Violence», we already have a sub-directorate of Attention to Women in Public Safety, but we want to give it specific weight through this Directorate with actions and programs that address our neighborhoods that appear in a mapping of warning lights».
This new Direction of «Violence Prevention» will work in coordination with all the areas of the City Hall to be able to attend and be present in the caravans of services that are offered in an itinerant way, however, in a specific and punctual way it will have presence in the neighborhoods marked as priority in the subject of violence prevention, to take services to the schools, workshops, safe spaces, recovery of spaces and each and every one of the actions that allow to combat this evil that afflicts our municipality and our country.
«In this pitiful problem there are groups of women who come together through pain, through the disappearance of a family member that they can no longer find or when they find her she lost her life, that is why in our municipality we have implemented programs such as «Safe Spaces» with the participation of businesses; the «Cuentas Conmigo» program with the support of carriers; «Espacios Naranjas»; «Senderos Seguros» (Safe Paths); Talks and workshops in schools; we have trained public servants on gender violence issues; through mobile units we provide free legal and psychological counseling to women in situations of violence and indirect victims; and one of the most important actions, which was the creation of the Women’s Directorate, which previously had the figure of an Institute,» said Rodriguez Hurtado.
