Governor Mara Lezama encourages Isla Mujeres’ women citizens to be strong, empowered and healthy / @MaraLezama @GobQuintanaRoo >>>

#EstadoDeQuintanaRoo.- Upon delivering cards to beneficiaries of the Mujer es Poder program in Isla Mujeres, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa told them that this humanist and progressive government wants empowered, strong women, to put an end to gender violence, but the participation of all is required, with no one left out or behind.

To this end, she urged that in this government, where for the first time a woman is at the helm, it is required to work united and in sorority, to denounce any type of violence that women suffer.

«That is why we created these public policies, more tools, mobile health units, but it was not easy, we had to fight corruption, close the gaps where the money was escaping to stay in the pockets of a few, to invest the people’s money where it is needed,» she said.

Accompanied by two beneficiaries, Marcela and Jacqueline, and with an almost all-women’s podium, Mara Lezama said that yes it is possible, that is why it is Women is Power, that is why she called for a New Agreement for the Welfare and Development of Quintana Roo, to work 24/7 so that they are free, self-sufficient, happy, empowered and that no one will ever put a foot on their neck again.

The event was held in the blue dome where she called on them to continue fighting, because the empowerment of women will serve when they are sororas, helping each other, beacons of light for other women. That is why she called on them to commit to take care of themselves, to be healthy, because Quintana Roo needs strong women.
