#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- The Blindaje Esmeralda program, which aims to strengthen security in shopping malls and businesses, initially in the Emerald Zone, has already yielded its first results in parallel to the development of this strategy.

According to Fabián Ricardo Gómez Calcáneo, Director of Public Safety and Municipal Transit, in the first stage of the program a liaison and coordination was built with the administrations of almost twenty shopping malls, with the exception of four, due to lack of interest, operating license or unwillingness to provide information on their private security personnel.

Then, data was collected to validate the information of the personnel in charge of the accommodation of places, car wash and private security personnel.

«We did an open and closed source review of 191 collaborators in a month and a half in their shopping centers, 178 without IPH (Homologated Police Report) and 13 with observation points, to be considered. We respect the presumption of innocence and the right to rehabilitate or reintegrate into society, but it is up to you to be alert to these indicators», considered the Commissioner.

«This strategy is successful because the network we made of collaborators, are public safety auxiliaries».

Among the findings and referring to the 13 people with some IPH, among the crimes or administrative offenses with which they are related are simple robbery, theft to pedestrian, business, vehicle, damage to health in the modality of drug dealing, consumption of toxic or alcoholic substances, detailed the command.

But there were two cases that stood out, since of these 13 people, two were arrested by the Police of Atizapan in the last few days for robbery inside a shopping mall and another for stealing catalytic converters.
