Mexico successfully concludes its participation at the XVIII G20 Leaders’ Summit in India / @SE_mx >>>

#Economía.- Participating as representative of the Mexican Head of State in the Eighteenth Summit of Leaders of the Group of Twenty (G20), which took place on September 9 and 10 in New Delhi, India, the Secretary of Economy, Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez, reaffirmed Mexico’s commitment to achieve a sustainable energy transition that is consistent with national interests and circumstances, as well as with the right to sovereignty over natural resources and energy security.

For the first time in the history of this international event, the President of Mexico was represented by the Ministry of Economy, through the leadership of Secretary Buenrostro Sánchez and the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Carmen Moreno Toscano.

The head of the Ministry of Economy, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Mexico in India, covered a work agenda characterized by the frank and direct exchange between the Heads of State and Government of the G20 member countries, around the three thematic axes chosen by the Government of India as President of the group: One Earth, One Family, One Future.

Mr. Buenrostro Sanchez shared the components of the Mexican program «Sembrando Vida» and highlighted that it is the largest productive reforestation effort on the planet, which contributes to social welfare through the promotion of food self-sufficiency and addresses both rural poverty and environmental degradation.
