México, the United States and Canada boost SMEs with T-MEC / @SE_mx >>>

#SE.- The Undersecretary of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economy, Alejandro Encinas Nájera; the Deputy Trade Representative of the United States, Jayme White and the Deputy Minister of International Trade of Canada, Rob Stewart; inaugurate in our country, the Second Dialogue of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the Treaty between the United States, Mexico and Canada (T-MEC).

During his welcome message, Undersecretary Encinas Nájera emphasized that North America is at a great moment, since never before has there been so much trade, investment and productive linkage in the region, and the T-MEC means providing customs facilities; eliminating obstacles to trade; generating sources of decent and well-paid work; and proposing more sustainable trade that preserves natural resources and ecosystems.

For this reason, he said, «today we are called upon to ensure that the benefits of the T-MEC are not only for the largest companies. We want the region’s SMEs to share in the benefits of belonging to one of the most powerful and dynamic trade regions in the world, and to have free access to a market of 500 million potential consumers.

Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Jayme White said that the trade alliance with Mexico and Canada is very important and these three nations together face a number of challenges in the global economy and must ensure that no one is left behind.
