#BocaDelRío, #Ver.- The Mayor of Boca del Río, Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal, reminded that throughout October, women from Boca del Río will have access to 400 free mastographies as part of the commemoration of the World Day for the Fight Against Breast Cancer.

She also expressed that the main objective is to raise awareness and sensitize women about the detection and timely care of this disease that affects them so much.

«We work this program hand in hand with the Covadonga Hospital, reiterating that with the mammograms that we are delivering will facilitate the diagnosis and thus the treatment, as well as a better quality of life for all of them,» emphasized the mayor.

For her part, Melina Rivera de Unánue, President of the DIF of Boca del Río, asked the people of Boca del Río to share this valuable information, which will help many women, family members, partners, friends and neighbors to be able to have the detection of the disease through the knowledge of experts in the field.

«Many times we do not go for a mastography due to lack of money or lack of time, however, it is very important that we give ourselves the time we deserve, especially if it is for our health,» said Rivera de Unánue.

Free mastographies will be performed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Women over 40 years of age should go to the municipal DIF facilities located at Ferrocarril #119 between Veracruz Ave. and Vicente Fox Blvd.
