#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- The mayoress of Tecámac, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, announced that the Decentralized Public Organization for the Provision of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services (ODAPAS), headed by Samuel Hernández Cruz, is modernizing the operating system to improve service to the more than 180 thousand users of the drinking water service.

She said that since six months ago, through the use of whatsapp, social networks and an incident registration system, designed by the agency’s programmers, the number of users served daily has increased.

This, it should be noted, has reduced response times for the repair of leaks, leaks in poor condition, clarifications on account statements, dredging and information on procedures provided by the agency.

The ODAPAS director pointed out that, since the implementation of the new computer systems, now an average of 500 users are attended digitally, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Hernández Cruz added that the new tools make it possible to identify with georeference, image and video, the incidents reported by the neighbors, which are then sent to the 19 crews that work during the day or night, to attend to leaks, drainage and potholes.

«The geo-referencing of citizen reports allows us to point them on a digital map that guides us in which communities investments in public works should be made,» said the official.
