#CuautitlánIzcalli, #Edoméx.- Around 500 people gathered at the YÜHÜ festival “An encounter between the living and the dead”, carried out by the Municipal Government headed by President Karla Fiesco García, through the DIF Municipal System.

In the presence of older adults from the Day Homes and Clubs, girls and boys from the children’s homes, play centers and kindergartens, as well as Izcalli residents from across the municipality, Mayor Karla Fiesco highlighted that this type of event seeks maintain traditions and live together as a family.

She added that the events carried out by the government she presides seek to preserve traditions and remember the deceased through offerings.

For her part, the honorary president of the SMDIF, Jessica Villaseñor García, highlighted that “at the DIF we celebrate life, even after death, because we make tradition with it, we turn it into joy, into colors, into offerings, into sweets, in legends, in memories to treasure.”

Likewise, he said that YÜHÜ was born with the intention of celebrating one of the most beautiful traditions as a family, “it is a tribute to the day of the dead, to life and death, to our family, friends, pets, to all those beings.” dear ones who came before us, it is a festival that we prepare with a lot of love and respect for Mexican culture.”

She added that the Municipal DIF is an institution that is committed to having spaces for healthy coexistence, promoting culture and keeping traditions alive, always as a family and always from “Where we have the heart.”

With traditional music, offerings made by teachers from the DIF Playgrounds, Children’s Rooms and Kindergartens, a cemetery, the play La Llorona, dances, a costume contest made with recycled material, a movie area for the little ones, the entrepreneurs’ bazaar, in addition to cempasúchil flowers, candles, incense and a monumental catrina made by the Artisans of the town of San Juan Atlamica, who invaded the Candiles Hall, an venue that welcomed each and every participant and visitor to YÜHÜ .
