#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Governor of the State of Mexico, Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez will promote, in coordination with the Government of Mexico, headed by Mr. Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the basification of doctors from the State of Mexico.

«From Nextlalpan I ask President López Obrador and the Director of IMSS, Master Zoé Robledo, to help us to basify our doctors, because it is important that they have job certainty,» said the state governor.

During her visit to the municipality to inaugurate its first Health Center, the Governor explained that in the State of Mexico there are 77 hospitals, 4,297 hospital beds, 1,203 health centers, 4,226 clinics, 7,720 doctors, of which 3,542 are specialists.

The State of Mexico is one of the 23 states in the country that joined the IMSS-Bienestar model, which will provide coverage to people who do not have social security, taking advantage of its large hospital capacity.

On October 10, Governor Delfina Gómez signed the National Agreement for the Federalization of Health Services, so work is being done to complete this transition that will benefit around 9.1 million inhabitants of Mexico who do not have social security.

The process of incorporation of medical units to IMSS-Bienestar that make up the state health sector will be carried out in stages through the implementation of work tables that contemplate the analysis of personal property, real estate, supply and supplies, human resources, financial and legal resources, which will result in better first, second and third level care facilities.
